🚨 UNEQUAL PROTECTION UNDER CDA POLICE? Recent statements by Coeur d'Alene Police Chief White raise troubling questions about equal protection under the law. Following the KCRCC townhall—where Teresa Borrenpohl was removed and cited for persistent disruptions after repeated warnings—Chief White stated to the media, “I don’t care what your message is… We have to respect everybody’s First Amendment rights, regardless of what side of the aisle you happen to sit on.” Yet, in a prior CDA City Council meeting, video evidence reveals a starkly different stance. There, he declared, “You can’t yell things out, it’s disruptive to the meeting,” and, “If you’re interrupting… you’re going to be asked to leave. Even the applause that delays the meeting can be seen as disruptive behavior. We can’t hear each other.” This contradiction demands clarity: does the Chief uphold free expression equally, or does enforcement shift with the context? The video evidence is below for your review.
