TVK President Thiru Vijay has requested the Indian National Congress for support to form a Government in Tamil Nadu. He has spoken about drawing inspiration from Perumthalaivar Kamaraj as well, in his political mission. The INC is clear that the mandate in Tamil Nadu is for a secular government that is committed to protecting the Constitution in letter and spirit. The INC is determined not to have the BJP and its proxies run the Govt. of Tamil Nadu in any manner. Accordingly, the Congress leadership has directed the TNCC to take a final decision on Thiru Vijay's request, keeping in view the sentiments of the state reflected in the electoral verdict.

The entire BJP ecosystem is in panic mode because Rahul Gandhi ji spoke the plain truth - PM Modi and HM Amit Shah have actively worked to destroy the Constitution, and for that, they are traitors. For handing over India’s wealth to Adani-Ambani, for destroying the electoral system through vote chori, for compromising the ECI and pressurising the judiciary - they are traitors who have destroyed India. And those who made it their singular agenda to use the worst language to defame and abuse Rahul ji for over 15 years should refrain from giving sermons about “lowering of public discourse”.

Attended the Karnataka CLP meeting, where Sh. DK Shivakumar ji has been elected as the new CLP Leader. He is a fierce fighter with a keen focus on development, public welfare and upliftment of the poor. He succeeds a stalwart leader who delivered top notch governance, and we are confident that he will take the mantle forward with great commitment and skill. Best wishes to him for a successful tenure ahead!

The BJP candidate in Palakkad is caught red-handed distributing cash on the eve of elections! All this, while the Election Commission is asleep and blissfully unaware of the electoral malpractice. It is in BJP’s DNA to manipulate elections, no matter what, no matter where. This is a crime and the candidate must be punished for this blatant violation of election norms. She does not have the legal and moral standing to continue on the ballot.

When Vote Chori is on everyone’s minds, When Rahul Gandhi ji’s Yatra is getting unparalleled support, When Opposition Governments need to be targeted, When allies like Chandrababu Naidu garu and Nitish Kumar ji need to be threatened… The Home Minister brings this dangerous Bill that strikes at the heart of the Constitutional principles of federalism. I rose to oppose the introduction of the draconian Constitutional (130th Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha today.

This is the true face of BJP’s rabid hatred towards Christianity. Their leaders will go to any lengths to insult minorities in India, even if that means attacking a blind lady. Matters have escalated so far that the state remains mum as entire villages boycott Christians from entering. Be it Jabalpur, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Odisha or any other BJP-ruled state - Sangh Parivar goons have attacked Christians in an organised fashion, with total complicity of the ruling regime. Yesterday, RSS workers also attacked a children’s carol choir in Palakkad, Kerala - where the BJP is proving day after day that it is nothing but a wolf in sheep’s clothing. PM Modi has been putting up a great farce for years pretending to show newfound love for Christians, but his party and the Sangh Parivar reveal their true character every single time. Venom and hatred are the BJP’s gift during Christmas. It is a warning to all minorities that the BJP’s parochial, hate-filled agenda cannot tolerate India’s pluralism and will relentlessly attack everyone that doesn’t fit into their hate-filled worldview.

I pay my homage to Bharat Ratna Late Sh. Rajiv Gandhi ji on his death anniversary. He was a trailblazing PM who, in his short tenure, set the foundations for India’s transformation. Even today, despite the many attempts to erase his legacy, he remains a towering figure who structurally empowered India’s women, youth, poor and underprivileged through his policies. He laid down his life while standing up to forces that threatened India’s sovereignty and integrity. India will never forget this sacrifice, and we will always be guided by the path he showed us. For lakhs of Congress workers like me, he continues to be a hugely influential figure whose idealism and commitment to national welfare is a major driving force. We miss him everyday.

We are witnessing an extraordinary constitutional anomaly unfold before our eyes. The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam passed in September 2023 has come into force with being published in the Gazette only at 9.55pm last night. It is shocking that the Government brought amendments to a Constitutional provision that was not even published in the Gazette! This shows the Government’s unprepared and lackadaisical approach to serious lawmaking. This is also yet another evidence that the treasury benches look at Parliament as no more than a rubber stamp, not bothered about the procedures and protocol necessary for a fair legislative process.

In today’s No Confidence Motion against the Speaker, we are seeing the ruling regime exploit a Constitutional vacuum of their own creation. For 7 years, the Lok Sabha does not have a Deputy Speaker - who is supposed to be presiding over these proceedings. As a result, someone from the Panel of Chairpersons is presiding over the No Confidence Motion against the Speaker. However, this Panel is appointed solely by the Speaker, thus making it ineligible to preside over a debate that deals with the Speaker’s removal. It was our demand that the House elect a presiding officer who can act as Chairperson for this motion.

Rose in the Lok Sabha to oppose the introduction of the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, which is a patently illegal and unconstitutional move by this Government. In 2023, we supported the implementation of women’s reservations from the 2024 General Elections itself, but then the Government did not accede to our demands. Now, they are using women’s reservations to bring in a dangerous delimitation exercise to gerrymander the entire country like they did in J&K and Assam. A bill that strikes at the heart of our Constitutionally guaranteed federal structure must be withdrawn.

Day after day, the BJP outperforms itself in lowering the standard of debate in Parliament. Spoke to the media inside the Parliament Complex regarding our demand from the Hon’ble Speaker for strict action against MP Nishikant Dubey for his terrible remarks today.

BJP MPs have repeatedly crossed the limits of parliamentary decency. It’s become a habit for treasury benches to resort to personal abuse against the LoP—merely a desperate attempt to divert from the nation’s pressing issues. Today, raised a stern objection to such language and conduct before the Speaker in the Lok Sabha.

Rose in the Lok Sabha to raise concern over the unfair suspension of 8 Opposition MPs for this Session. Parliament has seen countless protests but the suspension of MPs is a disturbing new trend, which cannot be allowed to continue. This suspension should be revoked immediately.
