Over 6 months. Hundreds of faces. One of the most challenging drawings I’ve ever done. Here’s the full time-lapse video of my drawing of Rory McIlroy winning The Masters. #TheMasters

Rory already shared the finished time-lapse on his Instagram page. This is what came before it. I want to take you inside the creation process. About 20% complete. Six months of work started here. Probably one of the hardest drawings I’ve ever done. And honestly, most of what you’re looking at right now doesn’t even matter yet. It’ll all change. This part is just about getting the foundation right. And at this point, none of the crazy stuff is even in yet. Scroll through the images to see the early progress. No crowd. Not much detail. No atmosphere. Just structure. I also included a video so you can see the pace of drawing a piece like this. It’s an incredibly slow process as each stroke of the pencil is carefully considered and deliberate. Rory McIlroy The Masters #themasters
