The Government has announced it will lay delegated legislation which will regulate Physician Associates via the GMC I spoke in Parliament to ask for a statement on this matter. This is too important an issue to be dealt with by delegated legislation. 1/3

I have called for a debate in Parliament on the appalling decision to axe BBC Singers & cut 20% of BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, BBC Concert Orchestra & BBC Philharmonic Orchestra jobs. This will have devastating consequences for the musicians affected & for the sector Now is the time to be speaking up for classical music.

There is brilliant education outreach work being done by organisations such as Marge Inalia, @TBMHMusic, Royal Albert Hall, The RSC Donmar Warehouse Bath Philharmonic Orchestra and many others. But this valuable work must not be a substitute for arts education in schools. 1/2

I have raised the issue of proposed BBC cuts to BBC Singers BBC Concert Orchestra BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus BBC Philharmonic Orchestra a number of times and so I was glad to hear Bambos Charalambous point out the flaws in the BBC's decision in his adjournment debate in the House of Commons.
