Late this afternoon, I took a flight from Dallas to Birmingham. Somehow I lucked into a window seat on the Exit row. I have to be honest: what I saw on our ascent, descent, and cruising altitude of 35,000 feet was downright dystopian. I try to be positive, but I'm not at all sure we will ever be able to come back from this.

I feel your pain. Here in Alabama we went from heavy crud to popcorn. Looks like they released stuff from one of the plants around Alexander City or Clanton in the middle of the state, which then went in the opposite direction of this morning's crud. Physics no longer apply to our sky.
