Today I pressed Border Czar Tom Homan if he and the President have confidence in DHS Sec. Markwayne Mullin after the WSJ reported Trump is growing increasingly frustrated with Mullin. Our Ali Bradley confirmed from a source familiar with the situation that President Trump is frustrated with DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin over his recent comments to Democrat governors regarding employment visa programs and labor shortages. The president is also frustrated over the pausing of the traffic stops, which he quickly reversed.

The news tonight: Karoline Leavitt set to leave her post at the podium at the end of the month. When asked tonight what stands out to me from her time in the briefing room I gave my honest answer. Karoline Leavitt enacted changes that allowed networks like NewsNation to be in the room for major moments. And I’m a better journalist because of those moments. I note here that we never wanted that access to take away from those that had it before us; we just were happy to be given a seat at the table too. I’ll always advocate for more access and will recognize when it is given. As I always did after a flight on AF1, or a spray in the Oval, I would text Karoline and thank her for including us. We’re better the more voices that can be heard.
