📌For 50 years, Nigeria pumped crude oil out and imported the petrol we needed. Then something changed. In 2022, NNPC’s own figures showed the petrol subsidy swallowing billions while NNPC remitted ZERO to the Federation Account. Ask yourself: why would serious investors build refineries in a market where government fixes the price below cost? Then the subsidy regime ended. Investment followed. Refining capacity expanded. And in March 2026, Nigeria became a NET EXPORTER of petrol for the first time in our history. But there’s another question Nigerians should ask: In 2022, Atiku Abubakar called petrol subsidy “just a fraud” and pledged to remove it if elected. So what changed? And what about the pensioners affected by the old privatisation arrangements who are only now receiving payments? This is bigger than politics. If a policy was bad when you proposed ending it, why is it suddenly good when someone else implements it? Watch to the end. Then tell me who is really serious about fixing Nigeria. 🇳🇬 #KemKem

📌📌📌While many were focusing on fuel prices, and the Naira, a lot was going on in the Health sector, here is a snippet of some of what has been done. 22.03 million Nigerians have enrolled in health insurance. Here is why this matters; It took 20 years to reach 5%, yet it took only about 4 years under the new NHIA law to hit 22 million. 3,000+ Primary Health Centres have been upgraded to Level 2. That means deliveries, labs, stocked pharmacies and 24 hour care, in our local governments, not Abuja. 1.2 million children in Kebbi, Bayelsa, Bauchi and Ondo were vaccinated against malaria. Interestingly Kebbi’s state’s hospital records show Malaria cases have gone down 50% in ten months. Nobody held a rally for this. Nobody ran an advert, it was rarely reported, but what matters most is that, it got done. You can doubt the government. You can doubt the politics. But you cannot doubt the Data. #KemKem

🔥🔥🔥Today, I had the privilege of visiting the Port Harcourt refinery under the management of NNPC Limited and it was a deeply enlightening experience. The NNPC is paying the price for not telling its incredible story. The magnitude of what I saw deserves the loudest applause. For a moment, consider this: the 70% progress achieved so far at the refinery has involved laying over 300 kilometers of pipes and installing more than 800 kilometers of cables—an engineering feat of epic proportions that has gone largely unacknowledged. To walk through the facility is to witness the blood, sweat, and genius it has taken to breathe life into this 59-year-old 60,000 barrels per day refinery now producing at 70% capacity. Reviving such an aging structure is a challenge that defies imagination. Building afresh may sound simpler, but the financial implications would be staggering. For those who question Mele Kyari, OFR’s leadership, a visit to this refinery would undoubtedly change their tune. Instead of criticism, they would be singing his praises. I cannot overstate my admiration for the dedicated team that made this visit possible: Femi Soneye , Head of Corporate Communications; Bayo Adenrele , MD of Refineries; Mr. Ibrahim Onoja, MD of the Port Harcourt Refining Company Ltd; and all the other unsung heroes working day and night at the refineries. Your sacrifices may go unnoticed by many, but they are seen and valued. To Mele Kyari, OFR only Allah can truly reward you. For all the times we doubted you, may Allah forgive us. The work done there is nothing short of extraordinary. No one who visits the refinery will ever doubt the magnitude of all they are committing to make the refineries work. As for blending, lifting etc , I will share more on that tomorrow, Insha Allah. After my visit, I’ve found myself becoming an unofficial ambassador for NNPC. I feel a deep sense of sorrow for the organization, seeing how little information is out there about the immense commitment and hard-work they’ve poured into this project. This story needs to be told, not just for recognition but to inspire trust and confidence in what NNPC is achieving. #KemKem

🔥🔥🔥Ogun State axis of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway. I love Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but for years one thing truly pained me: the fencing off of Bar Beach and its conversion into Eko Atlantic. Bar Beach gave me some of my best childhood memories. Growing up, I felt a constant pull to the ocean , often alone. I went there in moments of great happiness and in seasons of deep despondency. The ad infinitum nature of the sea stirred in me an early sense of the Almighty. You can imagine my disappointment when that access was taken away. What I didn’t know then was that his vision was set on something bigger, something better. Today, that vision is unfolding as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway: a stretch of road that will shorten interstate travel and become a joy to behold. This road isn’t just infrastructure; it’s an invitation to experience a larger slice of Nigeria in sweeter doses, long coastal views, open horizons, and the chance to relive childhood memories. History will be kind to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. When Nigeria’s economic, financial, and tourism renaissance is told, his name will stand out as the man who dared to think far ahead. #KemKem

📌📌📌One state, One governor. Using the substantial FAAC allocations being received from the Federal Government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu to permanently rewrite the destiny of his state. Meanwhile, some governors are stashing away funds meant for their people or spending them on needless projects, while heaping blame and telling lies about Mr. President. History will judge all of us for what we do today, even when we appear untouchable because we wield the power of the state. No one remains governor forever. What endures are the projects we build, the lives we touch, and the opportunities we create for our people. Even something as simple as releasing local government funds and allowing the councils to use them judiciously for grassroots development can become a defining legacy. Governors have come and gone. History is filled with examples of those who served their people faithfully and those who did otherwise. Stash away the FAAC. Tell the people that every problem is the fault of the Federal Government. Shift responsibility if you must. But remember that history is patient, and history is a harsh judge. Instead of all these airports that the common man is unable to access , let's have rail. Intra state rail, the next Gov and state to build one like that of Lagos will etch his name in gold,forever.
