A hisotric date in Las Vegas weather history. On December 17, 2008, Las Vegas recorded over 3 1/2" of snow at McCarran and on the Strip. But... over 8" fell in parts of Henderson, some abandoned their cars along the freeway heading up to Horizon and Wagon Wheel, and it led to a snow day for the School District on the 18th.

The peak of Mt. Charleston! An elevation of 11,916′ and conquered by Chris Cushing (who shot the video) again. At 7am, the temp was 42° with winds howling over 30mph. That equates to a wind chill of 28°. Southern Nevada in August!
