Have been travelling and still catching up with the toxic JK Assembly debates. Whatever I have caught on with due to concerned Jammu province folks sharing with me, feels like doomsday scrolling. Here NC leader Javed Rana not only denies Jammu Kashmir’s history but also gaslights the Dogras who founded the modern state of Jammu Kashmir and extended India’s boundaries to the northern most frontiers. Also notably he says “MINORITY CAN’T RULE MAJORITY”. So much to unpack in this bigoted statement. Demographic changes and the state of Hindus and other minorities in Jammu Kashmir amongst other things. Cannot be reiterated enough that the elections were premature and divisive communal forces have been emboldened, endangering Hindus of Jammu Kashmir and all the people of Jammu region. #SaveJammu

There is something about Patna. It’s like an old energy that pulsates just beneath the chaos. Waiting to break surface and shine in all its glory. You see glimpses of it in pockets of old beauty and modern brilliance. The state of the art museum, the various art forms adorning the city walls, the aesthetics of sprawling old homes, the bridges across its many rivers, the delightful JP Ganga Path and most of all the gently flowing Ganga ji on whose banks this ancient city thrives. The singing of the koyal on flowering mango trees rises above the hum of a crowded city which surprisingly is very green. The roads leading out of Patna to rural Bihar are fantastic. Tree lined and some running alongside fertile green fields, nalas and across rivers. Culture sits comfortably here by way of gamchhas around men’s necks and aalta on women’s feet. Despite years of mis governance, apathy and policy failures the sheer resilience, hard work and natural intelligence of the people breaks through. If East will herald the new rise, Patliputra and Bihar with its young and smart population stand out as promising contenders to lead it. Hope it happens. #Patna

There is a clear pattern in Pakistan’s obsession with Jammu and Kashmir. First, it invades, (loots, rapes and kidnaps women also as witnessed in 1947), only to face defeat at the hands of the valiant Indian Army, backed firmly by the unwavering will of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. When victory on the battlefield proves impossible, Pakistan resorts to ceasefire violations, infiltration, and the export of terror into India’s northernmost Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir. Here, Maharaja Saheb Dr Karan Singh ji of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu & Kashmir, the then Governor of the State, recounts the facts surrounding Pakistan’s aggression and the following India–Pakistan war of 1965. #JammuKashmir

Seeing how easily the turncoats and hypocrites in the Jammu Kashmir Assembly have turned villains into heros and also insulted Maharaja Hari Singh ji sharing an old video of mine where I speak about 13th July and the so called ‘Martyrs’ who were essentially lawbreakers who were dancing to the tune of a British agent Abdul Qadir who was not even from Jammu Kashmir. What followed the planned chaos was rioting and looting especially targeting Hindus in Kashmir. Hindu homes and shops were looted and burnt and reportedly Hindu women attacked. 13th July is a Black Day for Jammu Kashmir. #13thJuly #BlackDay

This video doesn’t do justice but it has become ominous and the downpour is scarily heavy and non stop. I write this from the safety of my home in Jammu city but I pray for those who are near water bodies, canals and the hills. I cannot imagine your worry and fear. #JammuFloods
