You can't afford to be two or three games out of five.” I agree with Scholes Tielemans can be a 9 one week and a 2 the next. At Villa that inconsistency gets hidden. At United you have to deliver 4 out of 5 games or it gets exposed immediately. Same story as Brennan Johnson. Looked electric at Forest, then flopped into inconsistency at Spurs once the expectations and stage got bigger. United need reliability in midfield, not occasional brilliance.

🚨🗣 Jamie Carragher is not a fan of Iraola moving from a mid-table team to Liverpool “In terms of Iraola, I look at it and I can't change my opinion on him” “It just feels to me that when you make that jump from a mid-table team to a team competing in Europe, I'd love him to have had that little bridge in the middle. Win the UEFA Cup somewhere… Go do a bit of Emry. bit like Klopp at Dortmund. So you thinkof the big European managers we've had and the two that stand out are probably uh Rafa Benitez and Jurgen Klopp and they've both had that sort of being at Valencia won the UEFA Cup won La Liga and Klopp won championship and went to champions league final but these teams are not the size of Liverpool.” In my opinion, I agree with Carra here. Mourinho proved it first. He dominated at Porto, won the Champions League, then Chelsea came calling and it clicked. Same with Maresca. Delivered at Leicester, then stepped up to Chelsea. That intermediate success builds the experience and credibility for the big leap. Iraola’s done brilliantly at Bournemouth, but a proper bridge would’ve made this move feel less of a gamble.
