Brandon Drury is an interesting Free Agent we haven’t heard much about this offseason. He dealt with lingering hamstring issues and illnesses in 2024, but from ‘22-‘23, Drury was a .262/.313/.495 bat with a 119 wRC+ Offers defensive versatility having played 123 errorless innings at 3B in ‘24 while also manning 2B for 56 games and 1B for 14. His Contact% was at career-norm (77%) and O-Swing% was a career-low (25.8%). His 0.33 BB/K rate was .15 points higher than 2023. Still has good bat speed (72.6) and had career-best Max EV of 113.7. Is there potential for a healthy version of himself to maintain his better plate discipline and get back to the Hard Hit and Barrel rates of ‘22-‘23? Despite the numbers not being good, Drury did improve month-to-month from July to September. Numbers vs Fastballs took huge hit (.508 xSLG to .291) but his Whiff% vs them actually dropped.
