James Gunn had David’s Superman front and center for the marketing of Supergirl, but it still flopped and will end up grossing far less than Black Adam, despite Superman 2025 supposedly “Revitalizing the brand”. I however expect the DCU cult to not be consistent with how they framed Black Adam’s failure as a rejection of Cavil’s Superman who Had a 10 second cameo that was only revealed on the opening weekend. So not only did Superman gross less than Man of steel, despite tickets being over double the cost, but Gunn’s Superman can’t even pull the DCU cult to support the second film in the DCU? Tragic🕊️
