TRIPLE SHOOTING IN SOUTHEAST D.C. LEAVES ONE DEAD, TWO INJURED; HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY WASHINGTON, D.C. — A triple shooting in Southeast D.C. has left one man dead and two others injured, prompting an active homicide investigation. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Morris Road SE, where MPD units and federal agents responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located three adult victims suffering from gunshot-related injuries. An adult male was found unconscious and not breathing and was pronounced dead on the scene. Two additional victims — an adult male and an adult female — were located conscious and breathing and received medical attention. MPD’s Homicide Unit has been notified and is leading the investigation. At this time, no suspect information has been released, and investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
