Marine Veteran Fights Off Armed Carjacking Attempt in Oxon Hill; Four Teens Arrested OXON HILL, MD — A Marine Corps veteran fought off a group of armed teens who attempted to carjack him in broad daylight this week in Oxon Hill. According to the victim, Jheyco Borda was working on his truck outside his home around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday when four hooded teens approached him and attempted to take his vehicle at gunpoint. Surveillance video captured the confrontation, showing Borda refusing to surrender and physically resisting the suspects during the attempted carjacking. The suspects ultimately fled the scene without taking the vehicle. Following an investigation, authorities arrested all four suspects believed to be involved in the incident. Borda later shared the video online and urged residents to remain vigilant. “Be careful and be aware of your surroundings,” he wrote. The investigation remains ongoing.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the above location and located a teen boy suffering from a gunshot wound. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred during an altercation, which was captured on video. During the altercation, the teen was shot, though investigators have not yet confirmed whether the injury was self-inflicted or caused by another individual. The teen was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released. Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been announced at this time.

TRIPLE SHOOTING IN SOUTHEAST D.C. LEAVES ONE DEAD, TWO INJURED; HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY WASHINGTON, D.C. — A triple shooting in Southeast D.C. has left one man dead and two others injured, prompting an active homicide investigation. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Morris Road SE, where MPD units and federal agents responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located three adult victims suffering from gunshot-related injuries. An adult male was found unconscious and not breathing and was pronounced dead on the scene. Two additional victims — an adult male and an adult female — were located conscious and breathing and received medical attention.
