Today genuinely scared me. I have been holding so much in because I wanted to handle this situation quietly and through the proper channels. My lawyer has been dealing with the tenancy issues, my rent is still valid until October, and I have been trying to find a way out of this house before things get worse. Today, my landlady came downstairs and confronted me aggressively. She accused me of not paying rent since last year, despite the tenancy dispute already being with our lawyers. She went upstairs telling other tenants things about me, then came back down and continued provoking me. Then came the slurs. Calling me a man. Saying I deceived her. Threatening to call the police to remove me from my own home. For a moment, I genuinely wondered how quickly this could turn into something much worse. This is no longer just about being uncomfortable in a house. I am scared of what could happen if this situation escalates. And this is exactly why I have been crowdfunding to leave. I know I keep asking. I know people are tired of seeing the posts. Trust me, I am tired too. I don’t want to keep begging people for money. I just want enough to move somewhere safe and finally breathe. I am still NOT out of the woods. If you can donate, please help me. If you can’t, please share this post. Please help me get out before this situation becomes something none of us can undo. I don’t want to wake up one day and realize I waited too long to leave.

UPDATE ❤️ My rent expires next month, and after everything that has happened with my landlord, I honestly don’t feel safe staying here anymore. I’m trying desperately to leave, but I have nowhere else to go. The goal is $4,000. We’ve raised $780, so we still need $3,220. I know I’ve asked for help before, but every time I’ve been supported, it has helped me survive, rebuild and get to where I am today. I’m asking again because I genuinely need a way out. Please donate if you can. If you can’t, please share this post. I need this to reach as many people as possible. PayPal is . Please write “For Kim” in the note. I just want to be somewhere safe. Please help me get there.

I’ve just been feeling really grateful lately. Life is not where I want it to be yet. I’m still trying to figure things out. I’m still working, still trying, still hoping things get better. But when I stop and really think about everything I’ve been through, I’m proud of myself. There were so many times I didn’t know how I was going to get through something, but somehow, I did. I’m still here. I’m still dreaming. I’m still building my life. And honestly, that means a lot to me. I’m so grateful for every person who has supported me, checked on me, helped me, donated, shared my story, or simply reminded me that I’m not alone. I never expected some of the love I’ve received, and I’ll always be grateful for it. I don’t have everything figured out. I don’t have everything I want yet. But I believe things will get better. I believe in myself. And I know that one day, I’m going to look back at this version of me and say, “Girl, we really went through it.” 😂 Then I’ll look at my life and say, “But look at you now.” I’m proud of me. I’m grateful to still be here. And I truly believe I’ve got this. 🤍

Come spend a day in a life of a trans woman living in Nigeria!

I heard “Reflection” from Mulan today, and it brought back a feeling I don’t think I’ve ever been able to fully explain. For so long, I looked in the mirror and couldn’t recognize the person looking back at me. I knew there was a woman inside me, but finding her, accepting her, and finally becoming her came with a price I never imagined I would have to pay. Today, I look at my reflection and I’m happy. I see the woman I always wanted to be. I see myself. And that is something I will never take for granted. But the truth is, finding yourself can be beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Because in this part of the world, becoming who you are can cost you family, friendships, safety, stability, opportunities, and sometimes the feeling of having a place to call home. People tell you to be strong. They see you surviving and assume you’re okay. But nobody talks enough about the grief that comes with choosing yourself. I am grateful for the woman in my reflection. I love her deeply. But sometimes I mourn everything I had to lose to finally meet her. And maybe that’s the part of my journey people don’t see. I found myself. I just wish finding me hadn’t cost me so much.

I went live today and spoke honestly about what I’m dealing with. The harassment, the fear, the violence around queer and trans lives right now. It’s heavy and it’s real. I’m trying to stay safe and survive through all of this. If you can support, share, or donate to my cfing.
