Kim Jiwon talked about the aegyo she did in Fight for My Way back then, which was later parodied by so many celebrities 😘 Jiwon: Honestly, when I first got the script, the lines were just written there, so while reading through them, I thought, “Oh, so this is how I’m supposed to do it.” But I felt like if I made it too cutesy, even I would have a hard time watching it 😂 So at the time, I thought, “I need to get #ParkSeojoon (Dongman), really annoyed.” That’s why I delivered the lines in a more teasing, playful tone. After filming that scene, I kept thinking until it actually aired, “Ah… how are people going to react to this?” “Should I have done the tone differently?” I was really worried. But thankfully, the viewers loved it so much. 🥹 Jaesuk: Would you do it again for us after all these years? JDY: Recently, you were spotted at BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary concert. How did you end up going? Jiwon: When I was around 19 or 20, I filmed a drama called What’s Up, and I worked with #BIGBANG ’s #Daesung at the time! Kim Jiwon shared a untold story behind her scene with Jin Goo in Descendants of the Sun. It’s honestly heartbreaking. Even while sharing this story, Jiwon gives full credit to the director for the hard work rather than focusing on her own efforts 😭❤️ Jiwon: “This scene was filmed early on in production. But after I finished acting, the director said, ‘AGAIN!’ So I did it again, and he said, ‘AGAIN!’ We ended up filming that one scene for 5-6 hours because of me. My hands were literally trembling after that. Looking back, I think the director kept doing so many takes because he wanted to get a better scene out of me. Like in Queen of Tears, people were saying, "Huh? Kim Jiwon didn't even get nominated?" 👤: Yeah, that’s right. JDH: Do you know why that happened? When the first round of judging started, it starts pretty early. Queen of Tears hadn't even begun airing yet. So there was a lot of debate over whether to include it or not. Since it barely made the cutoff, there's actually an original standard. If a certain percentage has aired, then it becomes eligible. But it was difficult for us to judge it properly without having seen the full content. At the point we were watching it, male lead's performance stood out clearly, but Kim Jiwon's hadn't really shined yet on the video. That's why she didn't make it into the nominations and actually, we explained all this to Kim Jiwon's agency and Actress Kim Jiwon also heard it and accepted it all. #KimJiwon shared the behind the scenes of the iconic line “I worship you” from #MyLiberationNotes and mentioned #Sonsukku’s interview 🤎 Jaesuk: “I worship you.” That’s Kim Jiwon’s line, right? But Son Sukku says it a lot too, doesn’t he? Jiwon: Oh, He’s going around saying it everywhere… That’s my line, though 😂 Sukku: Whenever I get handed a microphone, I start with “I worship you,” and then I end with it too 😂 Jaesuk: That line became really popular back then. Jiwon: At first, when I got the script, I was like, “What? ‘Worship’?” 😂 The drama taught me about a different kind of love, something beyond just romantic or interpersonal love. I think that’s why the writer chose the word “worship.” I remember an interview Son Sukku gave that really stayed with me. He said, “When you reach out your hand to save someone, you end up saving yourself as well.” He said that was what he felt through this project. I thought that was such a beautiful and meaningful way of putting it. So I thought, “Ah, maybe this story is ultimately about that.” Maybe when I feel empty and reach out because I want someone to fill that emptiness, that person ends up filling me too and I’m able to fill them in return. Even while filming, I found myself rooting for these characters, and I continued rooting for them even after the drama ended. I think I was also someone who received a lot of support and encouragement through this character. This is a line I really really loved “Worship me.” #김지원 #나의해방일지

Q. How did you end up making your debut? Jiwon: I was street cast… Jaesuk: See! I knew it! Jiwon: Back then, from what I remember, street casting was pretty common. Jaesuk: That’s right. Jiwon: So people would get like 5 business cards each around Myeongdong (Not me! My friends did.) I was actually scouted in my neighborhood.😂 Jaesuk: How? Jiwon: I was just walking down the street, bickering with a friend, when some man suddenly said, “Could you come over here for a second?” And then he just gave me his business card. Turns out, he hadn’t even come there to scout anyone. He had come to deliver kimchi to his older sister, and that’s how he happened to meet me… 😂 Jaesuk: To be more precise, you were in your third year of middle school, bickering with a male friend on the street near Onsu Station. 😂 #KimJiWon #김지원
