Fat Joe says he paid a dangerous friend $30,000 just to stay away from him after getting out of prison Fat Joe: We had one guy we grew up with. This guy was dangerous. Some of these guys we thought were just real guys in the hood. Some of them were serial killers. Fat Joe: One day, we’re four deep in the Jeep, trying to rap to some girls. Then the police come for murder. They throw us on the floor and take us to the precinct. We had no fucking clue what we were in there for. Fat Joe: Then this one guy looks at us and goes, ‘Remember what happened over there? That shit we heard about? The guy got shot in the neck? I won’t be seeing y’all for a while.’ Fat Joe: He knew exactly why they came. We didn’t have a fucking clue. He ended up doing like 15, 20 years. Fat Joe: And every time somebody came back from jail, they’d tell us, ‘Yo, y’all got one. This motherfucker is stabbing everybody in there.’ Fat Joe: Then he finally comes home. By this time, I’m already Fat Joe the rapper. I’m in Jimmy’s Bros Cafe and somebody goes, ‘Joe, look who just came home.’” Fat Joe: I’m like, ‘Man, I heard everything about you. You was putting in that work. Legendary, man.’ Fat Joe: Then I reach in my pocket, pull out like $20,000, $30,000 and say, ‘Yo, here you go. I could never hang out with you in my life.’ Fat Joe: He took the money and said, ‘I understand, Joe. You changed your life. I’ll stay out the way.’ Fat Joe: That’s cool. He went and got shot the fuck up about a week later. Fat Joe: But I knew I couldn’t bring that energy into my life. This dude was a legend in prison. I was like, ‘Yo, I can’t hang out with you. You’re gonna kill the whole Madison Square Garden. I can’t hang out with you.’

Chelsea Handler was making a serious point about women in comedy... but Tiffany Haddish only had one hilarious question. Shaq: What do you feel women don't get away with in comedy that men get away with? Chelsea Handler: So much. If I openly talk about sex, drugs, and the things I enjoy, I'm judged. Men talk about the same things, and nobody bats an eye. Chelsea Handler: I'm rich, I'm famous, I'm single, yeah, I've dated a lot of different guys. I'm not ashamed of it. Chelsea Handler: Strong women just aren't embraced the same way strong men are. Instead of complaining about it, I just keep talking about it. Tiffany Haddish: Do you have sex with fans? Chelsea Handler: I try not to. I'm not a man. Tiffany Haddish: I won't. I feel like my fans might kill me. Adam Ray: What if you only found out they were a fan afterward? Tiffany Haddish: Then they better tell me on date three or four... not after we hook up. Johnny Knoxville: I can speak for both Shaq and me, we've never slept with fans. Shaq: Ever.

Fat Joe and Kevin Hart open up about buying houses for their parents Fat Joe says he bought his parents a house in Miami, but they refused to leave the projects. Fat Joe: “They would not move out the projects.” He eventually had to make up a story about his life being in danger just to get his mother to move. After they finally moved, the house was packed with family at first. But a month later, everyone had disappeared. Fat Joe: “About a month later, the house was a cemetery. Nobody in there.” Kevin Hart then admits he wishes he had been able to buy his mother a house. Kevin Hart: “That's the one thing I wish that I would have got to do.” Fat Joe says that even after losing his money to tax problems, there was one thing he refused to lose. “You're not taking my mother's house.”

Fat Joe says Usher and Chris Brown are more dangerous than rappers. Fat Joe: Rico Love was producing Usher's album, and Usher kept asking me, 'Take me to the Spanish girls. Take me to the Spanish club. I kept telling him, Trust me, tonight is not the night. That's not your scene. That's the kind of place where somebody could bust your face open. Rico Love finally said, Man, just take him. So I did. The second we got there, Usher started dancing, and I swear it looked like the man was levitating in one spot. Every woman in the club forgot everybody else existed. They were all staring at Usher. Fat Joe: That's when I realized, these R&B dudes are the real snipers. Look at Usher, look at Chris Brown. They get on stage, steal everybody's girl, and somehow nobody gets mad at them. If your girl is going to an Usher and Chris Brown concert, that's not your girl anymore.

Shaq asked Tom Brady what it feels like to be called the GOAT, but Brady's answer wasn't what he expected. Shaq: I'm jealous of certain people when it comes to the GOAT conversation. Shaq: You're the GOAT. I've watched the guys before you, I've watched the guys after you, you're the greatest. Shaq: How does that actually feel? Tom Brady: Honestly, it never really feels right. Tom Brady: When I look back at my career, I don't think, "I'm the greatest." Tom Brady: I think about all the opportunities I was given, and all the people who helped me reach my potential. Tom Brady: I played for a long time, and because I took care of my body, I actually got better when most players started declining. Tom Brady: I won league MVP at 40. Then I went to Tampa at 43 and threw over 40 touchdowns. Tom Brady: That wasn't just because of me. My body coach, Alex, helped me take care of myself. So many people played a role. Tom Brady: Then I walked into New England and had Bill Belichick demanding excellence every single day. Tom Brady: He held everyone accountable, so I didn't have to be the bad guy all the time. Tom Brady: The culture was already there. Every new player wanted to live up to that standard. Tom Brady: I played 23 seasons, so I had more opportunities than most. If I'd only played 12 years, I probably don't win seven Super Bowls. Tom Brady: That's why I never see it as a one-man story. Adam Lefkoe: It's funny hearing Tom thank everybody, because Shaq always says if he had Kareem's scoring record, he'd just walk around telling everybody, "I'm the GOAT."

Ryan Clark asked what Jalen Hurts really meant by "100% alignment with zero entitlement", and Channing Crowder immediately said, "We know exactly who he was talking about." Ryan Clark: Jalen Hurts said this team is in "100% alignment with zero entitlement." A lot of people think that has something to do with A.J. Brown. Fred, how do you see that quote? Fred Taylor: I think Jalen was referencing the book Chop Wood, Carry Water. The message is simple: every season is a fresh start. No entitlement. Everyone comes back to zero, and you build together as a team. As the quarterback, Jalen is trying to get everyone on the same page. Channing Crowder: You are so nice. We know who he was talking about, man. Ryan Clark: Who? Channing Crowder: A.J. Brown. He complained about his targets and the offense; that's who Jalen was talking about. This wasn't about starting from zero; it was about getting rid of a cancerous situation. Channing Crowder: A.J. can flat-out play. Top-five, maybe top-10 receiver. But you can't complain every day on a championship team. You're not getting 12 targets a game. They're going to run the offense. Channing Crowder: If the Eagles end up being even better without A.J. Brown, that's going to say a lot about what was really going on in Philly.

Fred Taylor brought up Tom Brady's claim that Aaron Rodgers is the greatest thrower ever, and Channing Crowder wasn't having it. Fred Taylor: Tom Brady just said Aaron Rodgers is the greatest thrower of the football that's ever lived. Channing Crowder: Joe Montana and Dan Marino never lived? Dan Marino is the best natural passer I've ever watched. Tom, you're a homer. Ryan Clark: If the greatest quarterback of all time says Aaron Rodgers is the greatest thrower ever, I'm going to believe him before I believe you. The only thing separating Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers is championships. Ryan Clark: I admit that legends like Dan Marino and John Elway belong in the conversation... But when it comes to pure arm talent? Ryan Clark: There's only one Aaron Rodgers. The way he places the football, how fast it gets there, and how precise he is... nobody has ever done it better.

Kevin Hart realized Fat Joe has a talent for turning every normal story into the craziest story you've ever heard, and he couldn't stop calling him out. Kevin Hart: I kept telling them, don't mess this up. People have no idea how funny Fat Joe and Jadakiss really are. Then I started noticing something. Kevin Hart: Every one of Fat Joe's stories starts normal... then suddenly takes the hardest left turn imaginable. "'We pulled up on them...'" "...'Then I had to grab the flamethrower out the trunk.'" Kevin Hart: Bro... WHAT are you talking about?! Fat Joe: Ask Sammy. Sammy was there. Kevin Hart: He always does that! Every crazy story ends with, 'Ask Sammy! Fat Joe: Sammy was the one holding the fire extinguisher! Kevin Hart: It's honest exaggeration. And somehow, that's the funniest part. Fat Joe: The craziest part is, people keep confirming the stories. Every city we mention, somebody always pops up saying, 'Yeah... he ain't lying.

Stephen A. Smith asked Tom Brady one question about Patrick Mahomes, and Brady's answer says everything about how highly he views him. Stephen A. Smith: Patrick Mahomes has already been to six straight AFC Championship Games, four Super Bowls, and won three rings. How do you think he'd have done in your era? Tom Brady: I think he'd be even better. In my opinion, Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL. Of course, he's physically gifted. He can throw from any angle, extend plays, and make every pass. But what really stands out is how he leads his teammates, how they respond to him, and the way he carries himself on and off the field. I'm watching his press conferences just as much as I'm watching him throw the football. As he gets older, the real challenge won't be his talent... it'll be staying motivated, leading younger players, and handling everything that comes with success. Tom Brady: I believe he's got the right foundation to do it.

Kevin Hart catches Fat Joe's hilarious math in real time, and Jadakiss finally figures out how Joe's stories always get so big. Fat Joe: If 10 guys that size walked in here right now, it'd feel like 50 guys. Jadakiss: So you're making it 50? Kevin Hart: That's called honest exaggeration. Fat Joe: Let me ask you something... aren't there like 100 baseball bats behind your head right now? Kevin Hart: No, I think it's 22. Jadakiss: See? That's the extra sauce you throw in there. Fat Joe: I grew up in a project building with 1,500 people, 14 floors. Nine apartments on every floor. Everybody had nine kids. I counted it one day. Kevin Hart: Hold on, let me do the math. 14 × 9, that's 126. We're still missing 974 people! Fat Joe: Okay, say five kids. Kevin Hart: Now we're changing the numbers? Jadakiss: I finally understand how you come up with your numbers.

Whoopi Goldberg reveals she almost didn't get Ghost because the studio thought she would "take people out of the movie." Keke Palmer: How many of your roles were actually written for you? Whoopi Goldberg: Two. The Color Purple was written with me in mind, which was great. Keke Palmer: That's crazy because when I look at your work, it feels like completely different people. The person in Ghost doesn't even feel like the same person. Whoopi Goldberg: That's exactly what I want. Marlon Brando used to disappear into his characters, and that's always been the goal for me. Whoopi Goldberg: What's funny is I wasn't even supposed to be in Ghost. A friend came over for lunch and said, "Every Black woman in Hollywood was auditioning for this movie." Keke Palmer: Out the grave! Whoopi Goldberg: That's what she said! I realized I had never even been called. So I called my agent and asked what happened. Whoopi Goldberg: He finally admitted, "We suggested you, but they didn't want you because they felt you would take people out of the movie." Keke Palmer: Wow. Whoopi Goldberg: I was shooting The Long Walk Home in Alabama when my agent called again. He said, "Remember that movie they didn't want you for? They hired the lead actor, and he wants you in it." Whoopi Goldberg: I asked who it was. Whoopi Goldberg: He said, "Patrick Swayze." Whoopi Goldberg: Patrick and the director flew all the way to Alabama. We spent the day improvising, laughing, and working together. Whoopi Goldberg: The very next day, they offered me the part. Keke Palmer: That's unbelievable.

Ray Allen says modern basketball has lost one of its greatest skills, and he thinks analytics are to blame. Brice Butler: When you watch today's game, do you see it as evolution, or do you think basketball has lost its art? Ray Allen: When I came into the league, basketball was beautiful. Ray Allen: Teams ran motion offenses, set hard screens, made four or five passes, cut backdoor, it was like watching a machine work. Ray Allen: It was never about one great player. It was about all five guys doing their job. Ray Allen: Sometimes you'd make the hardest cut on the floor knowing you were never getting the ball, just so someone else could score. Ray Allen: That's basketball. Ray Allen: Now? Teams shoot threes, then more threes, then even more threes. Ray Allen: We've lost the mid-range game. Ray Allen: We've lost post-up players. Big men barely have a place anymore. Ray Allen: And to me, that's the tragedy. Ray Allen: You have analytics guys who've never played the game telling organizations they should only shoot threes and layups. Ray Allen: But here's the proof they're wrong... Ray Allen: Look at Oklahoma City and Indiana. Ray Allen: Yes, they had great three-point shooters... but they also dominated in the pick-and-roll and the mid-range. Ray Allen: When I came into the NBA, some of the greatest players lived in that area of the floor. Ray Allen: That's an art, and I think we've lost it.

Shaq pitched a "Black vs. White" comedy roast, then Aries Spears admitted he once roasted Dwyane Wade so hard that Shaq made him apologize. Shaq: I want to do a roast called Black and White. Five Black comedians, five white comedians. Think it'd work? Aries Spears: Yeah, if you get the right people. Shaq: What if they start making gorilla or monkey jokes? Aries Spears: Would that bother you? Shaq: Nah. Nothing bothers me. Aries Spears: Then you're good. Aries Spears: I actually roasted Dwyane Wade once. I tweeted, "I don't even know why he showers after games, he's already washed up." Shaq: Man, by the time that got back to him, you probably hurt his feelings. Apologize to that man right now. Aries Spears: D-Wade, you know I love you, bro. Shaq: Has anybody ever tried to fight you over a joke? Aries Spears: You ain't a comedian unless somebody has. Aries Spears: A woman once threw a ketchup bottle at my face during a show. Shaq: What'd you say to make her do that? Aries Spears: She wasn't laughing. If 499 people are laughing and one person isn't, comedians always notice that one person. Aries Spears: So I started roasting her, and she threw the bottle. 😭 Shaq: You one of those dudes who talks crazy, then when somebody hits you you're like, "Why'd you hit me?!" 😂 Aries Spears: I will sue the hell out of you.
