My respect for Sri Lanka went up immensely. It is not a developed western country. In fact 100 Indian Rupees gets 330 SL Rupees. You have an advantage. But the civic sense, customer service, cleanliness, driving sense... Outstanding! Even remote roads are well maintained.

The Ragi Gudda to Silk Board flyover in Bengaluru has been ready for ages. Every few months we hear that the second side will be open for traffic next month.. But again delayed. Today, I saw :- Runners Walkers Children doing roller skating. Mothers making reels. College boys teaching driving to girlfriends. Broken beer bottle glass pieces. Legends throwing garbage well before inauguration. A multipurpose "father of all flyovers" which was built using crores of our tax money, but aging for months/years without inauguration. Maybe they want us to complete 50 runs over this before someone from the government wakes up and works on inauguration plans 😃

There is a very rare Ganapati temple in Karnataka. Guddattu, near Kundapura. Here Vinayaka is Swayambhu formed in a rock. He always needs to be immersed in water. So three times a day, water is drawn from a well and poured over vigraha. Almost 1000 pots per day! Incredible 🙏

You can do a 5 km roundtrip run on the Ragi Gudda to Silk Board Flyover. Feels like VIP when the whole flyover is "blocked" for your run 😀 This morning, a good 14 km road run, incl 5 km on this "forever under construction" flyover. At least someone used tax money used here. 🤔

About 90 km east of Bengaluru is a fabulous Rama Lingeshwara temple. From Nolamba and Ganga dynasties period. Around 1100 years old. I had never seen in the same temple complex, huge Shiva Lingas installed by Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata (north side) and Shatrughna. Very unique!

Dear PM Narendra Modi - We all remember how a small minority of Indian farmers from Punjab and surroundings thwarted the extremely helpful Farm Bills four years ago. Please listen to this long brinjal farmer from Karnataka. 11 tons of brinjal. ₹3000 on hand after expenses. Tens of 1000s of loss 😔 He says he is getting just ₹4 per KG from government run APMC, while the same government-run agri stores are selling at ₹33 per kg to end customers. Please help such real farmers with a new bill. Give them a choice beyond APMC. Really sad to hear him articulate (which he has done marvelously well)😔 I don't know him personally, but he has royally exposed the politicians who opposed your revolutionary agricultural reforms.

Here is a great option that I really enjoyed.. ❤️💦 Netrani is a heart shaped island near Murudeshwara (third largest Shiva statue in the world), in Karnataka. Takes 90 minutes on the boat. > Safe 25-40 feet depth. > 1000s of purple, red, blue fish. > Small valleys of sea reefs. > Warm water. > Maybe Dolphins if lucky on the way. > 20-30 minutes under water. Great experience. Netrani is the place where Lord Hanuman rested when he was flying to save Lakshmana in Ramayana times. Go for it. Highly recommended for beginners! Bonus? You get to float or swim in deep waters for 2 hours while others are doing scuba. Siddarth Pai Bharath Suryaprakash 🇮🇳 and I were there for 2 hours 👌 With Scuba glasses you can do snorkeling kind of observations from the top. Loved it. Where? We used Aqua Ride Adventures at Murudeshwara. Fantastic service - good helpful divers, clean, fruits/banana, decent boat / instructions, nice underwater videos/pictures.
