I genuinely think that before JN, Kukui was the strongest trainer Ash had ever battled and people really understate him. Alain battled Legendaries? Kukui was deemed worthy to COMMAND a Legendary in battle and proceeded to use its Z-move flawlessly on the first try. #anipoke
