Don’t be scammed.!!!! What the ndc has passed today is not the LGBT Bill that was before the house. The bill as passed in 2024 and as relaid before the house, has now been mutilated by the ndc. About 31 of the old clauses have been deleted today. What has been passed now is an empty piece of legislation under the old name. It is not the same bill. Yet they are going around telling people it’s the same old bill that they promised to sign. Such a lie!!!!! When we say this ndc govt is a scam it is a matter of fact.

Earlier this morning, the Supreme Court dismissed my injunction application in which I requested the apex court to order a halt to full trials at the high courts while the Supreme Court is about to make a determination on my substantive writ challenging the constitutionality of conducting these full trials during the legal vacation. In his ruling, Justice Scott Pwamang said that while some cases are being treated differently and expeditiously, this would not amount to an infringement on the rights to equality before the law and the right to a fair trial. We have asked for a certified copy of the ruling to study and take advice. A date for the hearing of the substantive matter is yet to be fixed. We in the NPP believe that justice must not be selective and will continue to seek to have the selective application of laws addressed using the best means at our disposal. Video credit - The1957News

Last night, the NDC Majority sought to rush through a very important Cocoa Bill under a certificate of urgency. The Minority urged that we take the time to engage cocoa farmers and other stakeholders before proceeding. Once again, our views were disregarded. It is our view that this bill, in its current form, will worsen the plight of Ghana’s cocoa farmers in the years to come, as it removes the biggest incentive for cultivating this vital cash crop and undermines its contribution to rural development.

The NDC government has asked Parliament to approve a transaction without disclosing the amount involved, the repayment period, or the identity of the contractor. The minority has opposed this multi-year commitment request. Unfortunately, all appeals to the Majority to reconsider have been ignored. However, we have served notice of the next steps we intend to take. Kindly see the details here.
