This Yorùbá woman didn’t just show compassion; she gave him food, a place to sleep, and even a recharge card so he could continue trying to reach his brother. Strange how that part never made it into the clips being shared as “proof” that Yorùbá people are tribalistic. That’s how propaganda works: you omit the evidence that contradicts your conclusion and amplify only what supports it. People determined to confirm their own bias will conveniently pretend this part never happened.

Parents, don’t let your children become tools for pushing narratives that demonize their own heritage. Encourage them to build real skills, pursue meaningful careers, and think critically instead of repeating 30-year-old propaganda.
