In 1996 The FT reported that Leon Black (co-founder of Apollo) accompanied Donald Trump to Moscow, where Trump was exploring real estate opportunities, specifically an Apollo-financed Trump tower. The trip involved high-level meetings in Moscow, including with Deputy Mayor Vladimir Resin. The trip included Trump, Black, and Howard Lorber. Black told Senate investigators that he remembered attending a concert and a "discotheque" with Trump, and suggested they "might have been in a strip club together". Trump stayed at The Ritz-Carlton in Moscow. That's where the alleged Pee Pee tape was filmed since every room occupied by high-profile targets was rigged for video and audio.
