"I don't have a bias." I spoke with Nana Akua on GB News, where I gently tried to challenge the irony of GB News criticising the BBC for bias. I looked for some common ground around the need for truth in journalism. Nana explained to me that she doesn’t have any bias… which I found fascinating. Because if we can’t even recognise our own biases, how can we ever hope to overcome them?

The film tells the true story behind the rescue of hundreds of children from the Nazis through the KinderTransport. I was honoured to accompany my friend John Fieldsend who was one of those rescued by Sir Nicholas Wanton. Good news everyone, the Rwanda deal has been shown to be illegal. Here's my analysis of why this matters and what might happen next. I have long felt the #rwanda deal was immoral and now it has been proved, again, that it is also illegal. Well done to all those who fought so hard to protect the rights of asylum seekers at great personal cost.

If like me your heart is breaking for the civilians caught up in the terrible conflict in Israel and Gaza please sign our letter to the Prime Minister. We are asking him to play a peace making and humanitarian role. We ask for an end to all hostilities, the opening of a humanitarian corridor and a safe and legal route for those who have family in the UK to find sanctuary here. In #Sudan UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency report the conflict has reached alarming levels, making it virtually impossible to deliver life-saving aid. We urge the government to allow Sudanese people resident in the UK to bring their families caught in the war into their homes as refugees. Choose Love
