This is what they fear most: people putting old divisions aside and standing together. While some continue to dig into the past in an attempt to reignite sectarian tensions and keep communities divided, more and more people are choosing to focus on the challenges of the present and the future. Catholics and Protestants have far more in common than what separates them. Across Northern Ireland people are beginning to see through the politics of division and are finding common ground on the issues that affect their families, communities and way of life. Unity does not mean forgetting the past. It means refusing to let it be used against us. A people united is far stronger than a people divided.

Nothing exposes the “refugees welcome” brigade quite like the moment the refugees arrive on their own doorstep. In 2015, Labour MP Rachael Maskell said: “20,000 is not enough. 30,000 is not enough… we will keep going until we hit our saturation point.” Now she’s objecting to around 1,200 single adult male asylum seekers near her constituency, citing concerns over infrastructure, schools and the six-to-one male/female ratio. So Rachel… have we finally found your saturation point? Compassion is easy when the consequences are someone else’s problem.

A 25 year old trainee barrister spends two years in war-torn Syria, comes home, then is allegedly caught transporting a Semtex car bomb complete with a detonator and timer. We’re told she didn’t know what she was carrying. She gets bail. We’re also told MI5 and Special Branch knew about the alleged bomb plot for two months. If that’s true, why was a live device allowed to be collected in Phoenix Park and transported up the N2 through public roads before the car was finally stopped at a petrol station in Carrickmacross? Then there’s the second arrest. Simon O’Donovan appears before Ireland’s three-judge, non-jury Special Criminal Court and is refused bail. Prosecutors allege explosives were stored at Collins Barracks……a government-owned museum where he worked. So which is it? Was this such a serious national security threat that it required the Special Criminal Court or was is something worthy of granting bail? The official line is that the intended target was a police officer in Derry. Maybe it was. But given the current political tensions, the growing split within republicanism and the fact that intelligence agencies reportedly knew about the operation well in advance, it’s understandable that people are asking whether the public is being told the full story. Questioning an official narrative isn’t extremism. It’s what people do when the facts presented raise more questions than they answer.

‼️More Inflation Incoming.‼️ Even the Bank of England admits it. So here are three things worth understanding. 1. Inflation usually ends at wages. Prices can keep rising for as long as people can keep paying them. If your wages rise at the same pace as prices, your standard of living doesn’t really change. But if prices keep rising while wages lag behind, your purchasing power falls. You don’t notice it all at once. It’s a slow squeeze. Every pay packet buys a little bit less than it did before. Then people start cutting back, demanding higher pay, or simply going without. Ask yourself this… If employers can fill vacancies with people willing to work for lower wages, what does that do to the bargaining power of existing workers? 2. High prices eventually solve high prices. Not because politicians step in. Because consumers do. When enough people refuse to pay the asking price, demand falls. People buy less. They switch to cheaper alternatives. Or they stop buying altogether. Businesses then have two choices: lower prices if they still can, or if they can’t make a profit, close their doors. 3. Not all inflation hurts equally. You can postpone buying a new phone. You can’t postpone paying your mortgage. You can skip a holiday. You can’t stop buying food or paying your electricity bill. Inflation in luxury goods is annoying. Inflation in essentials changes lives. If inflation continues, expect more pressure on household budgets, more businesses struggling, and some jobs disappearing as people cut back on spending. My advice? Don’t wait until you’re forced to make changes. Pay down expensive debt if you can. Build some savings. Review your spending now, not when circumstances do it for you. The people who usually cope best aren’t the ones hoping everything goes back to normal. They’re the ones who prepare before everyone else realises they need. Hope isn’t a financial strategy. Preparation is.

American companies are in Ireland because Ireland is beneficial to them….Trump could and says he will change that calculation and gradually pull that economic activity back to America. That could devastate the Irish economy - 3/4 of its corporations tax comes from American companies. It has built an economy dependent on them. So what happens if that money, investment and those jobs start moving back to America? Less tax coming in. Less investment. Fewer jobs. Less money for public services. And a very big hole in the Irish economy.

Irish News calls it a “warning” when young people stop agreeing with them. That’s the tell. Young people aren’t being radicalised by social media, they’re noticing their own lives getting harder: no housing, no healthcare, no future. So they stop buying the story. Blaming “social media” isn’t analysis. It’s fear of losing control of the narrative. The mind is the battlefield now….and the media isn’t winning.

PSNI moved in at the 11th hour. From the comments online Protestants and Catholics were united in their approval of the bonfire (never thought I’d see the day) - this is not acceptable when the goal is division. There has been numerous instances of controversy over the years with what was place on the bonfire but it was never to my mind dismantled - of course not - the goal here was always to fuel division……..people are easier to control and political parties are built on it.

‼️☘️ ST PATRICK’S DAY CANCELLED in one of Ireland’s biggest towns ☘️‼️ An Irish national day quietly dropped under the excuse of “funding challenges.” When a country stops publicly celebrating its own culture that isn’t progress…..it’s cultural erasure. At least in the North people understand this. Catholic or Protestant, traditions are defended, not apologised for, and removals are challenged not accepted in silence. Cultural erasure only works where people accept it.

Sinn Féin’s Willie Clarke is a perfect example of how the party is framing the Belfast attempted beheading. Instead of addressing immigration policy, vetting or how the attacker got here, the focus is repeatedly shifted to NHS workers and racism. It’s a manipulative form of framing. By constantly linking immigration to NHS staff, politicians ‘encourage’ people to associate immigration with the nurse who cared for them or the doctor who helped a loved one. The debate stops being about policy, vetting or numbers and becomes about personal feelings of gratitude. That’s an effective way of changing how people think about an issue without actually addressing the concerns being raised, shifting the debate from facts to emotions to avoid answering any real question……… maith thú 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Michelle O’Neill never misses an opportunity to label people who live here racist, misogynist or sectarian. I’m sick to the back teeth of it. Caring about Northern Ireland doesn’t make me racist. Wanting to see a GP. Wanting decent housing. Wanting our children to have a future here instead of being forced to leave. Wanting schools to focus on reading, writing and maths. Wanting immigration to be controlled, properly vetted and at a level our infrastructure can cope with. Wanting local people put first when public services are already stretched. None of that is hatred. The people trying to shame us into silence don’t get to define who we are. We need to stand up for local people, common sense and a Northern Ireland our children can afford to live in.

Belfast City Hall has voted to fly the Palestinian flag and once more Northern Ireland is being pushed back into old divisions. This isn’t about solidarity; it’s about strategy. When we’re fighting each other, we’re not watching what’s really happening. Flags have always been their favourite weapon and they’re flying them again to stir old wounds and distract us from the bigger picture. When the people who are buying up the world tell you it’s a great idea for you to own nothing… maybe pay attention to what they’re really saying. The WEF and BlackRock keep telling us exactly what they want to do. Larry Fink talks about “tokenisation,” which basically means everything you own could be put on a digital system where it can be tracked, taxed instantly, or even blocked if it doesn’t meet their rules. The WEF’s idea is that in the future you won’t own much at all, you’ll just rent it or “share” it……and be happy. But notice how while they tell the public to share cars and stop owning things, they’re out buying up homes, land, companies… everything. They sell it as convenience, sustainability, or making life easier. But let’s be honest: You’ll end up renting. They’ll end up owning. All made possible through digital ID and CBDC/ stable coins.
