Andy Biggs is "not taking tough questions from reporters," Gov. Katie Hobbs says while defending her decision not to debate him. She critiques his record — as does her Democratic lieutenant governor pick, former Republican mayor John Giles. "That is not a good format for accomplishing the dissemination of useful information," Giles said. "It's about soundbites. It's about avoiding questions." That's why the Democratic ticket is out speaking to reporters, he adds. "I think it is important to hold candidates' feet to the fire and to get questions answered. And we are going to do that every day for the next 90 days."

"Disappointing to me": Arizona is absorbing the bulk of historic Colorado River water cuts. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego says the strain would be eased if Upper Basin states were required to make cuts alongside Arizona and the other Lower Basin states. 💧 The seven states that rely on the Colorado River are divided into the Upper and Lower basins, but the Upper Basin states currently are not facing cuts. "We would have lower impacts if we could share the impacts of the drought across the entire basin," Gallego tells Arizona’s Morning News on 92.3. "We've had very little snow. We've had less rain. That is not Phoenix's fault. We ought to share those challenges basinwide." WATCH MORE:
