Sarah Nurse: "I felt like the game was pretty out of control today from puck drop, and I don't think it ever got under control. As we went through the game, everybody's skating around not really knowing what a penalty is, and so that's kinda frustrating. I think us, the referees, nobody really knows what's a penalty, and so that gets frustrating. Because you go into a battle and you're like, 'could I get called here? Maybe. Could I not? Maybe.' Despite that, we still have to find ways to play around those things that are out of our control."

A shocker in the OUA playoffs today. Ontario Tech knocked off Queen's to advance to the OUA semis for the first time in program history. Queen's was 19-6-1 in the regular season. Ontario Tech was 10-14-2. Huge save late from 5th year senior Zoe McGee to keep her OUA career alive

Here’s my (attempt) to quickly explain the Hilary Knight sign-and-trade situation. IMO: Rules are being followed here. It would’ve been easier for PWHL to let Knight sign in Detroit. They didn’t do that, and it’s good they didn’t. Unconventional/unexpected but not illegal.

Maxim Tsyplakov (No. 9) reportedly has 12 NHL teams interested in his services, including #LeafsForever. Here are all of his non-empty net goals this season (plus some thoughts on the player in the expanded section) Tsyplakov's nearly doubled his KHL career goal total with 30 on the season (32 in 262 games previously). I'm a bit wary of the 19.9% shooting rate, a significant jump in his career average, and he's not a guy that has a history of significant production in the Russian junior leagues either. That being said, there are some intriguing tools for sure. His top speed in the KHL would rank around the 97th percentile versus NHL EDGE data (pretty much in line with Bobby McMann's max). He's 4th among KHL forwards in hits. From the little bit I've seen today compiling clips, he's a big body (6-foot-3 and 200 pounds) that has some hands and is a good finisher, but doesn't create a ton for himself or others. Seems like a 4th liner/depth winger who could pop some goals. Ideal comp might be a William Carrier type
