Happening today in Westfield, only a few miles north of where I was raised and just southwest of where I live now, is what is being described as a pro-Palestine protest. People there say they heard chants of “Death to America,” “F— ICE,” and other slogans, and other nations’ flags were flown. Imagine standing in America, waving another nation’s flag, and yelling “Death to America.” This November we have a choice. We can keep in power the party that loves America, or we can empower the movement that screams “Death to America” while waving another nation’s flag on American soil. Democrats and the Democratic Socialists of America want to tear down core parts of our system. From DSA itself in 2014: “Ending the filibuster isn’t enough, we should demand the end of the Senate itself.” That is still their position. In their own 2026 platform, Workers Deserve More (p. 17), DSA writes: “Expand the House of Representatives, implement proportional representation and ranked choice voting in all elections, and abolish the Senate.” They have been pushing this for more than a decade. They are only now starting to gain real momentum
