Layla Vladi has ventured a modern interpretation with the Schönbrunn Group to capture the #AuraofSisi through art. The artworks are on display on Times Square from today. Layla feels connected to Elisabeth in more than one way: “Empress Elisabeth saw herself in Titania, the fairy queen from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a regal figure who, despite her grace and delicacy, stood firm against powerful forces. Both women carved out space for themselves beyond the roles they were given. My art exists in that same space of metamorphosis. Like a butterfly, I am constantly evolving artistically.
