He’s saying the developer chose non-union labor b/c that’s cheaper but comes w safety risks…like a potentially unsafe building. This is more than just about this one midtown building. Just like week, Carpenters Union was out protesting this very issue.

In case you haven’t heard: Women are suing Pfizer in a class action lawsuit because the birth control shots (Depo-Provera) have been found to cause brain tumors. 1 in 4 women use this birth control. And Black women are prescribed it at double the national rate.

I want a biopic on Big Mama Thornton. Four years before Elvis Presley released Hound Dog, she sang it. It was her hit! Then he imitated her and made millions. She never saw a dime. Later she would introduce Hound Dog to crowds as “this is the record I made Elvis rich on.”

Is your city as cool as Minneapolis?? Minneapolis hosts an annual “Cat Tour.” Neighbors put their cats in the window and crowds show up in droves to admire them and show respect. It’s been going on for 8 years.

Sometimes when I’m in Dumbo or parts of Manhattan, I look up and see chairs on a rooftop patio and wonder how those condos look inside. I wasn’t ready…. The stove. The wallpaper. The Italian balcony in Brooklyn. The outdoor shower??? Viewing this was an experience

There are angels who walk among us. Nicky Crawford is one of them. He’s retired. From Atlanta. And he just opened a mobile laundry bus for unhoused people. “God has blessed me so much, I knew this is what I was supposed to be doing.”

I’m shocked!! Faith Jenkins and Kenny Lattimore went after the YouTubers making videos and spreading lies about their marriage. In the lawsuit they filed, they found that almost all of the “Black Celeb News” gossip channels are based in Pakistan, India or Russia.

I’m heartbroken to learn of the passing of a NYC legend. Alice Tan Ridley sang in the NYC subways for many years and competed on America’s Got Talent. She is also the mother of actress Gabourey Sidibe. To hear her sing was to know you were in the presence of greatness.

Tonight, Shaggy spoke at the Brooklyn Public Library. The best part was while he was on stage, they played a video of him singing dancehall at a Brooklyn nightclub before he got really big. He was all emotional, looking back. Man the 90s. What a TIME🥹❤️
