MUST SEE CATL Co-Chairman & Co-Founder Pan Jian spoke at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos earlier this week at a panel titled "Getting EV Supply Chains Right" where he shared great insights and perspectives into why China is leading the EV revolution, and underscored the global nature of the EV revolution: “It’s not going to be a one-country effort in terms of EVs. It’s going to be a global effort.” I'm putting together a thread of key messages he shared from EV penetration, #LFP penetration, #smartification, public/private sector collaboration, #software, #talent pool. In this clip, he talks about the concept of the "EIV" where the "I" stands for intelligence which is really the important driver for EV penetration, and something that lacks in the U.S. and European markets where the bottleneck lies with #software development capabilities, and he gives a shout to Ford CEO Jim Farley and the difficulty of legacy automakers transformation because of software but eventually they will get it done.
