One of the amazing details in requiem is that if you stand next to the RPD gate, leon won’t take his eyes off the building. even if you move the camera, his eyes stay focused on it no matter what the player does

Even after 6 years of training, leon’s aim in RE4R still gradually rises while firing, unlike in requiem, where his aim stays completely steady and locked on the same spot. that small detail really shows how much more experienced and professional he has become

Leon stops doing his idle animations once he reaches stage 3 of raccoon city syndrome. it’s such a cool detail because a few minutes earlier, sherry tells him, “your body can’t take much more.” so he’s desperately trying to push forward to save grace and destroy elpis

What really gets me about the bad ending in requiem is that leon finally managed to save someone in the same place where it all started for him, only to die moments later. while grace leaves RC carrying the regret of not being able to save leon and emily. history repeats itself.

This scene with helena really gets this part of leon. he sees people trapped and his first instinct is “let’s go” even when it means putting himself and helena at risk to save people who weren’t even part of their mission. RC really changed him as a person forever 1/3

If you bought the deluxe edition of Resident Evil Requiem, there’s bonus content called “Letters from 1998.” It’s about Marvin’s daughter, Meryl, who sends letters to her mom, after you read all the letters, Leon says, “I’m sorry I was too late.”

Seeing this part in requiem from grace’s pov is heartbreaking because leon had just opened up to her about his past in raccoon city (something he had only ever told adam) now grace tries her hardest to be there for him because she doesn’t want to fail him too

It’s actually so wholesome that leon took grace’s number and kept in touch with her just to make sure she and emily are okay after the events of requiem. their bond didn’t just end there, it’s still going strong after everything they’ve been through. that’s family
