I loved this from Florian Wirtz. Brilliant first touch, then he glides past his man and plays a great ball to Gakpo. He was a joy to watch..

Correct. Liverpool struggle on the right because Bradley and Konaté don’t offer enough technical or vertical progression. That forces the right pivot to drift wide for connections, vacating the midfield and exposing us in transition.

This clip shows the development Curtis Jones has had this season. A brilliant progressive pass, close control, glides past defenders, and then a really good shot to work the keeper. He’s been absolutely brilliant this season.

LFC transitioning from a 4–4-2 off the ball to a 3-2-5 on the ball vs Frankfurt meant that LFC could play Isak and Hugo on the pitch as strikers, as well as have Wirtz in the 10 . I liked the tweak. Would like us to continue with it. Jones/Szobo’s vertical passing essential.

Virgil Van Djik vs Liverpool I remember watching this game and couldn’t believe how good he was man. Sturridge (when fit) at the time was one of the most lethal finishers out there and VVD made him look ordinary. Been the best for 11 years and still is.

This is what I think we should based on the personnel that we got.. 3-4-3 in first phase build up. Grav drops deeper and u got the fb’s flying. You naturally get Ekitike and Salah closer to goal because of it. Passing avenues in all phases.

Wirtz is getting there physically. His technical quality was never in doubt, and you can see him adapting to the league with every game. His link-up with Ekitike has been outstanding. LFC have 2 of the most technical attackers in the game.
