At the presidential briefing held in Sejong on the 12th, the Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) announced that singer G-Dragon (real name Kwon Jiyong) has agreed to serve as an ambassador for promoting the aerospace sector. The agency also requested that President Lee Jaemyung visit the space center to personally present him with the appointment certificate. Deputy Director Noh Kyung-won made this statement at the end of the briefing, after President Lee encouraged the attendees by saying, «If you have anything to add or any requests, feel free to speak.» Noh explained: «KASA is located in Sacheon, and the Naro Space Center is in Goheung. A visit from the President to either location would be a great support to us. G-Dragon previously served as an APEC promotional ambassador, and this time he has agreed to take on the role of aerospace promotion ambassador.» He added: «If the President visits, we could take the opportunity to present G-Dragon with his appointment certificate.» President Lee responded with a smile: «I suppose I’ll have to go,» and jokingly added, «Are you trying to lure me there with the promise of meeting G-Dragon?» On the same day, President Lee also pledged to fulfill the long-held wish of Korea’s aerospace industry – enabling repeated, regular launches of the Korean launch vehicle, Nuri. #GDRAGON #지드래곤 #지디 #권지용
