We’re running Google Ads funnels pulling $1M+ months… PDPs are dead. The market is not what it used to be. There are 4 types of traffic here. Here’s the best page for each: 1. Unaware TOF demand gen non-branded audiences: → Advertorials win. You must educate buyers on their problem before showing your: - Solution - Proof - Product You can’t do it in an image ad or a quick video. Video 1 is a great example of this. 2. Aware MOF non-branded audiences → Quizzes win. Your buyers are already grounded on the: - Problem - Solution - Products But they don’t know which one would be best for them. A quiz makes the decision for them and gives them confidence in the purchase because they feel you personally audited their pain points and advised them as an expert. This trust is even stronger if you ask them insanely good questions that show your brand clearly knows its stuff. You also wanna make the quiz as dopaminergic as possible to maximize completions and say things like “almost ready.” Video 2 is a great example of this. 3. Solution-aware BOF non-branded audiences → Comparison pages win here. This traffic is aware of your brand and product and is probably comparing you with others. So nothing better to squash the beef directly with a side-by-side comparison. 100% legal as long as you aren’t insanely biased or trash their brand. Image 3 is a great example of this. Some broader varieties of this would be something like: "Discover Why Brightland Olive Oil is the Top Choice of Professional Chefs” Or even: “5 Reasons Why Good Parents Are Switching to AutoBrush” 4. Product-aware BOF branded audiences → Product pages win. If they’re literally searching “[Your brand] + [Product name]” on exact match we don’t wanna waste time showing them a listicle. PDPs excel here. Image 4 is a nice example of this. And as you can see, we’re just meeting buyers where they’re at and slowly taking them to where they gotta be. Each page should keep in mind the expectations the ad set and the buyer’s emotional state. We’re never being overly salesy and always taking appropriate time before pitching. The reality is that Google is adapting the same way Meta did. Basic PDPs don’t cut it to scale anymore. You need funnels to live.
