Tiger Woods’ former agent says Nike’s founder tried to cut him out of the biggest endorsement deal in golf history “Phil Knight told Earl Woods: ‘Do the deal with us directly. You don’t need IMG. Save the commission.’” Hughes Norton: “We spent almost a year convincing Nike to bet on Tiger before he even turned pro.” “I asked for $50 million over five years. They said it was ridiculous… then came back with $40 million.” “The contract was basically finished when Earl Woods called me.” “He said a Nike executive came to his house with a message from Phil Knight: ‘Do the deal with us directly.’” “That was backstabbing of the highest order.” “Then Earl said something I’ll never forget: ‘We have to trust somebody… and we trust you.’”

Greg Norman says Tiger Woods has barely spoken to him in over 10 years despite living half a mile apart “I wouldn’t have said one word to Tiger Woods in 10 years.” Graham Bensinger: “Which is unusual…” Greg Norman: “At the Presidents Cup in Royal Melbourne we probably said four words, and that was it.” “When I moved here, I knocked on Jack Nicklaus’ door because I felt it was my responsibility. Jack welcomed me, helped me, and took a lot of pressure off me.” “I’m kind of surprised that, as close as we live, we’ve never had that relationship.” Graham Bensinger: “People think there’s a rift between you two.” Greg Norman: “I think that’s just the media making it up. I haven’t had enough conversations with Tiger for anyone to say there’s a barrier. If that’s his choice, that’s his choice. I’m just going to keep living my life.”

Sheryl Underwood thought an NFL player was setting her up… so she called her DAD right after they slept together. After talking on the phone for over a year, she finally flew out to see him during training camp. When he told her she’d be staying FOUR DAYS… Sheryl: “Motherfer, I’m not built like this!”* Then she noticed something that made her panic. A luxury car. A huge stack of cash. An empty mansion. Sheryl: “This is a setup.” So she called her father and told him everything. His response? “Don’t f* this up until I meet my son-in-law.” 😂😂

Seth Rogen says he quit stand-up because he refused to do the one thing every great comedian has to do “A stand-up told me, ‘You’ll never be really successful at this if you don’t get comfortable telling the same jokes over and over again.’” Howard Stern: “If you had kept up with stand-up… who knows where it might have gone.” Seth Rogen: “I hated telling the same joke over and over again.” “I’d tell a joke once, and if it got a laugh, I’d think, ‘Great. Done. Put it in the funny bin. Let’s see what else I can come up with.’” “I wasn’t interested in developing an act. I realized I’d never excel at stand-up because I didn’t enjoy honing the perfect set.” “I enjoyed writing the jokes much more than I enjoyed telling them over and over again.”

Madonna says Michael Jackson was deeply tortured by fame and never stopped judging himself “I think he felt eternally tortured by people.” Howard Stern: “Was Michael Jackson someone you could really open up to?” Madonna: “We could relate because we lived in the same crazy world… but our friendship wasn’t really about revealing ourselves.” “He was painfully shy. He’d been famous since he was a child, and I don’t think he ever really had a childhood.” “I think he was never happy with the way he looked, and it was hard for him to look people in the eyes.” “It was important to me that he knew I wasn’t judging him.” Howard Stern: “Did you ever record music together?” Madonna: “Yeah… but we never did.”

Madonna claims she still works like she’s broke despite becoming one of the biggest artists in history “My manager is always saying, ‘Stop acting like you don’t have any money.’” Howard Stern: “Do you still see yourself as that little girl from a small town?” Madonna: “Yeah. I grew up with no money. If I wanted to take a dance class, my dad told me, ‘Go get a job. I’m not paying for it.’ It’s just ingrained in me.” Howard Stern: “I have the same affliction. I always feel like I’m running out of money.” Madonna: “It’s not just that. I like to do things. I like to be productive, be creative, manifest.” Howard Stern: “You’re in the same company as Elvis, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson. You’re the only woman in that group.” Madonna: “That’s good company… and I’m practically the only one alive.”
