#developing When 18 year-old Zahir Davis returned from Jamaica to JFK Friday, NYPD detectives were waiting for him. Authorities say he fled to Jamaica right after allegedly shooting 15-year-old Jaden Pierre in Roy Wilkins Park in Saint Albans, Queens on April 16th. The NYPD says they believe it was gang related. His relatives in Jamaica urged him to come back to NYC & face the charges. ▪️Queens DA Katz says he’s charged with 2nd degree murder, gang assault & weapons possession. He was also arraigned on a separate criminal complaint for allegedly threatening to shoot his ex-girlfriend on April 12th who is the mother of his child. He pleaded not guilty through his lawyer & is being held without bail. ▪️Davis said nothing & showed no emotion as Jaden’s family members yelled insults at him & demanded to know why. ▪️Funeral for Jaden is 5pm this Fri 5.1.26 in the evening at First Baptist Church on East Elmhurst, Queens. More details via his uncle @kayokane ▪️Condolences to his family, friends, classmates & community. A shame & a disgrace we keep seeing these young teens shot & killed for no reason or when they are trying to stay away from gang involvement. ▪️The alleged killer is 3 years older than Jaden, was armed according to DA with loaded gun in a busy public park. Jaden had his bookbag with his homework & a bright future, now gone. 🙏🙏🙏
