What gift do you bring your husband when he comes home from captivity? I got him the only gift I knew he wanted, a highlight video of our daughters growing up and every smile, birthday, and step he missed. We have a lot to catch up on, but together we can do anything.

Both Omri and I used to dream of the day we’d be able to visit the beach together. To smell the fresh air, feel the warmth of the sun, the sand under our feet and hear the girls laugh. There were days when freedom felt out of reach - today it feels like the most natural thing in the world. Shabbat shalom!

There’s no easy way to talk to kids about October 7th, and especially my girls who lived through it and waited for Daddy Omri for most of their lives. So I wrote a book about it! Last week, with Omri by my side, we launched it at the Anu Museum of the Jewish people in Tel Aviv. Another chapter in my family’s life, and the life of the Jewish people. התלבטנו הרבה מתי נכון להתראיין. והאם בכלל להתראיין. אחרי שנתיים של מאבק מייסר ומייגע, אנחנו מנסים בימים אלו להשקיע את כל מרצנו בשיקום ובנייה מחדש. זו עבודה של 24/7 שאין ממנה הפסקה. לא בחרנו להיות דמויות ציבוריות ובשנתיים האחרונות הפכנו לכאלו בעל כורחנו. מוטלת עלינו החובה להשמיע את קולנו, לזכור ולהזכיר מה היה כאן. על הבית שלנו שנחרב ב-7.10. על המחבלים שחטפו את עמרי לנגד הבנות שלנו. על הגיהנום שעמרי עבר. על השכנים, החברים, האהובים הרבים מדי שנרצחו, בבתים בבסיסים ובשבי וכבר לא יחזרו. עבורם אנחנו מחויבים לחזור ולספר מה היה כאן. כפי שהיה, בלי איפור, בלי לטייח. זו הדרך היחידה להבטיח שיהיה כאן תיקון אמיתי. שישראל תהיה המדינה שכל כך מגיעה לנו. מדינה שהבנות שלנו, רוני ועלמא, יוכלו לחיות בה בביטחון. זה הזמן שלנו להתחיל לספר את הסיפור שלנו לישי ועמרי.
