Saw this on tiktok and, correct me if I'm wrong though, I think he's talking about how some (Thais I'm guessing) are criticizing how Lisa spelled the word "Sawasdee Kha". Saying she forgot how to be Thai because she spelled it incorrectly. First of all, if there's anyone who has not forgotten her Thai roots, it's Lisa. She often mentions being Thai. She loves your country so much that in everything she does she incorporates Thai elements or use anything Thai as much as she can. I know these "critics" are just a very very small number of Thais who, for whatever reason that I don't understand, couldn't or refuse to be proud of her and instead worship those who calls them the M word but like I can't help but question it. Anyway, allow me to provide context based on what Lisa herself said on her Bubble live mins before the song's release. I don't have the copy of the video now but she actually addressed this specific matter there. Someone asked how and why she thought of SaWaDiKa to be spelled like that and basically she said that the main purpose of that is so that the word will be easier to pronounce especially for her global audiences and so it will sound as closely as possible to the way you Thais pronounce it. Because imagine if it was spelled correctly, foreigners who aren't familiar will most likely pronounce it as "sa-was-dee" instead of "sah-waht-dee". In the context of this song, it is more important to have a closer sounding word because listeners will definitely not write it, they will say or sing it. #LISA may have established her career with YG but she would have been stuck with whatever they paint her to be and never ever have this kind of growth if she didn’t decide to leave that company.
