The post said: “Cleveland TX. This dog has been on the street for three years asking for help. Begging for help.” He had no name. The video broke mom. The way he walked to the car. Still hopeful someone would help him. Mom just couldn’t stand it. She inquired. Street feeders confirmed he’s survived 3 years on the streets of TX. We had him picked up. We got him to a vet for a health cert. We had him transported to our vet. 1100 miles away. He has a bullet in his leg. He’s the sweetest, most gentle boy. His name is now Luke. He matters. This $5 Friday is for Luke.

Tux update! Neurology consult had sad but not unexpected news. Due to the spinal trauma, the chances of walking again are very poor. They do not feel surgical intervention would help. Good news is he’s a happy boy, eating and playing and will still have a beautiful life. Thank you so much for all the wishlist items! The outpouring of love is truly amazing 🥺♥️!

Sunny has struggled. Her crate is her safe place. She shrinks when mom touches her still. But she’ll take a treat from mom’s hand. She watches everything intently. She likes Geddys. She comes alive at dark or early in the morning. This morning mom caught her playing. ♥️

It’s $5 Fri! We is full but mom couldn’t say no when we was contacted ‘bout this poor boy hanging around outside a 🏠 for weeks. The owner was threatening ta drive him away & release him! He’s safe at our vet but very scared. If you’d like ta help Luigi ❤️‍🩹

Mom didn’t sleep much last night. This video kept her up. Something about it literally breaks her heart. 1.5 years old. Body score of 2/9 (emaciated). Microchipped but owner didn’t respond (cruelty investigation rec. per notes). Full of milk, no puppies found. Hit by car, leg lameness 3/3. To be euthanized this morning. Why?! Because no one thinks she matters? We are full (overfull). But mom’s heart just could not let her die. Not TaDay god of death!!! Rescue in progress. Welcome ta the Coop, Daisy! 🥹♥️

It’s $5 Friday! Mom sees things that make her mad. She sees things that make her sad. Recently she got a video & message from Marion Cty about 4 puppies that made her cry. “Is there any possible way you can help 4 pups with parvo?” Mom’s mind immediately says “No. No, there is no possible way.” She shouldn’t have watched the video. But she did. Horribly neglected, underweight. Demodex, infected ears & skin. Yet they wiggle. They try to be brave. They try to trust. Tentative tail wags. One tries out a smile. They were found alone behind a home of known backyard breeders affiliated with a dog fighting bust. The video was taken before they showed sick. Now they weren’t eating. They tested positive for parvo. They couldn’t stay at the shelter being a risk to others. Additional care wasn’t an option in a county shelter. Staff had spent the entire day reaching out to rescues. They had no more time and no other options. We know there’s now an antibody shot that helps. It’s costly, especially for 4. The low combined estimate with parvo plus skin & ear treatments is $5000 in total vet care if they all survive. Really, how can we say yes to sick parvo pups? Really, but how can we let these 4 lives end before they ever know what care and kindness mean? What love is… Mom watched the video again. We just cannot. Not TaDay. Life just needs some goodness right now. So, these 4 little souls will now know they matter. Because truly they do. If you’d like to help, Vinny, Viggo, Vera & Vicky, we appreciate it more than we can convey. ♥️
