I am willing to bet if I were to go back in time, relationships with the US amongst the races wasn’t totally true. That is not to say that there wasn’t races issues but to say that they issues of the time were greatly exaggerated. The Vietnam war was before my time. Many of the guys my dad served with were white. I grew up with those guys and keep seeing n touch with those that are still with us. I was touched by this man’s memory and his experience reminds of my own.
