In 1873 a racist mob in Colfax, Louisiana, killed dozens of black men. A state-owned historical marker at the site of the massacre erected in 1951 falsely blamed the victims. We have removed that marker and a new monument has been erected telling the truth of this tragedy. #lagov

I’m proud to have signed HB 516 into law, which creates a special decal that will alert first responders if someone in a vehicle has autism. Not only will this assist our first responders, it is also a great win for our disabled community, and long overdue! #lagov
