Celebrating another local success story in Louisville! Congrats to the Gnamba family on the new location for Eden & Kissi on Shepherdsville Road. When our community shows up for local businesses, great things grow. We’re proud that you call Louisville home.

Donna Barton Brothers spent decades breaking barriers as a jockey and broadcaster, becoming one of the most recognizable voices and faces in the sport. Following her 26th and final Kentucky Derby on the broadcast, I am proud to proclaim May 11 as Donna Barton Brothers Day in Louisville.

UPDATE: The 13 victims located at the site matches the total # of missing persons reports submitted to LMPD. Together with the victim who passed yesterday in the hospital, we believe the total number of victims will be 14. The Jefferson County Coroner is working rapidly to identify each victim and will make their names public as soon as their identities are confirmed. May the victims’ memories be a blessing.

I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to our Snow Team. This drone video captures our crews performing an echelon on Preston Highway- a coordinated snow-removal formation where multiple plows work side-by-side to clear several lanes at once and safely push snow off the roadway. Our Snow Team has been working around the clock, logging more than 125 hours by Tuesday afternoon alone. They’ve pushed through harsh conditions and long, demanding shifts to keep our dedicated snow routes clear and safe. This work is tough, critical, and often happens while the rest of the city is able to stay safely at home. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, teamwork, and grit.

Hey Louisville, Please continue to stay off the roads. Even after we plow, new snow covers them again, and we won’t be able to fully clear everything until the snowfall stops. We’ll have another briefing at 2 p.m. with updates on our progress. Remember, it will stay dangerously cold, with wind chills below zero. National Weather Service has issued an extreme cold warning through Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. Stay warm, stay safe, and stay tuned for updates. 🔗Snow Resources: 🔗Metro Snow Map: 🔗Emergency Snow Routes:

Hey Louisville, we’ve got another exciting announcement for our Downtown and for our entire city. The Humana Tower will become a 1,000‑room convention center hotel, bringing visitors to Louisville every day from across the country and around the world. This project will create new jobs, generate new revenue, and help keep Louisville moving forward. When faced with adversity, we look for opportunity, and that’s exactly what’s happening here.

After nearly 9 inches of rainfall, the Ohio River has reached 35 feet in Downtown Louisville. It is projected to crest Downtown on Wednesday at 37 feet. This is officially one of the Top 10 flooding events in Louisville history. Please use caution when traveling, especially if it is along the Ohio River and be alert of road closures in your area.

Today US EPA announced that it is lifting the reformulated gas, or RFG, requirement here in Louisville. This is a huge win that has the potential to save Louisville drivers $137 million dollars per year. That's why I pushed so hard to cut through the red tape and move this complex process forward. Now, effective May 27th 2026, we are on a solid path to meet and maintain federal air quality standards, without the added burden of RFG.

Today I announced that the proposed tennis and pickleball project will not be moving forward at Joe Creason Park. Thanks to everyone in the community who called, sent messages, and participated in Tuesday's outreach event. We listened to your feedback and now we'll move forward with finding a new location for this project. And I hope you enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend by visiting one of our amazing Metro parks!
