Jenson Metcalfe has been good for Millwall since joining but what I think he needs to work on and take him up a level is his game understanding on the ball. Two times in this clip makes the wrong play. Going against momentum of the opposition player is a huge trait to have. If he turns away, takes three players out and Millwall are in. The second one is he has to punch that ball through centrally, instead a percentage pass.

I’m strongly believe the most effective and most exciting way to play football is have your best attackers closer together on the ball to make split second decisions in the moment (passes, runs, movement) Preston all at sea when Maamma, Bravo and Mavididi were on the same side

Henrik Rydström is a coach I like because he’s very clear on his influence from South American concepts and in particular paralela cheia. In non nerd terms - effectively players around the ball down the touchline

Football fans are great. Pure headloss after a defeat. Nothing beats a horrendous take when your head is on Mars. Get Kim K (H) out and Stevie G in

Yousef Salech is definitely a striker Championship clubs should be looking at. Has a good variety of runs, nice clean strikes at goal, uses his size well to win fouls consistently too

James makes great content and it’s all really well researched and put together but his suggestion for who Palace should sign in January has floored me. I did not expect that name

Synergy between players (personality + playstyle + intentions) means it’ll click instantly. Bola & Maamma have a great partnership. Bravo has fit in seamlessly to their on pitch relationship. It’s child-like stuff - you’ll want to pass to your friends more

When a current coach in the Belgium Pro League said Ed Still was a Thomas Frank/Regis Le Bris disciple to me about how he see’s the game; I think we got our answer here

Finally got round to watching Etta Eyong (22). Stood out straight away the want to get in behind the centre back with a curve then run beyond
