Full video here: ⚠️ WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT — VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED A Palestine, Arkansas, police officer is facing a first-degree assault charge after authorities say he fired several shots inside a home, killing two dogs. According to the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office, Harold Holland, 36, was booked into the St. Francis County Jail and has since been released. The incident reportedly happened in July while Holland was at a home where a man involved in an earlier domestic dispute was retrieving belongings. The dogs’ owner, Haley Smallwood, told WREG that Holland shot her Rottweiler and pit bull multiple times. Holland reportedly claimed the dogs were acting aggressively, while Smallwood disputed that account and said she was standing near one of the dogs when the shots were fired. Smallwood also said six children were inside the home at the time and that the family continues to grieve the loss of their pets. The Palestine Police Department's internal investigation was turned over to the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office, which said its findings were provided to the prosecuting attorney.
