Candace Owens decided it was time to go after The Mormons again. "She was describing to me the Mormon mafia. She kept saying it is an extension of the Zionist mafia, the Mormon mafia... Jokes on me for thinking even Candace was smart enough to let that theory die.

Michael Knowles today on Mormon controversy: "But I have to come out here in defense of the Mormons, because if trinitarian theology is the criterion [to be Christian], why are the Jehovah's Witnesses listed as Christian? Why are the Christian Scientists who deny the Trinity? I'm not changing my views about the Trinity or the essential aspects of the Creed, but it does seem to me that the Mormons are being unfairly singled out here. Everybody beats up on the Mormons all the time. Mormons are very reliable Republican voters. They live very, very good family lives. They're model citizens in many, many ways. Elder Gilbert: "BYU had slipped. There were a lot of pressures for BYU to be just like the world. [President Holland] was bemoaning that he could feel this drift happening to the university and he's like, 'What have they done with our school that we love so much?'" Later he hints that a few professors were participating in this push (seems most have been weeded out now), BUT most were on team Holland and were excited to get BYU back on track. Don't let progs tell you BYU was going in the right direction and that you were wrong to worry about what was/is happening. Jeremy Boreing (former Daily Wire CEO) just compared Christian's approach to aliens vs their approach to Mormons and I am here for it: "Of course [the discovery of aliens] would challenge our Christian faith. I've even heard Christians in the real world sometimes talk about these questions as though the answers were easy peasy. I've heard Christians who fight over whether LDS is even Christian at all ask when it comes to extraterrestrials, 'why couldn't God have other children? Why couldn't they have received salvation through a different incarnation of the same God?' It's as though the sudden revelation of advanced sentient beings walking among us would be less theologically disruptive than the existence of really nice Mormons."

Andrew Klavan Andrew Klavan today on the Matt Fradd Mormon controversy (shortened): "I love Matt Fradd. He's not like these hateful people just slinging mud in the name of God. But I have to say I don't agree that he should be doing this. Mormons aren't blowing people up, leave them alone. When you take away something that you disagree with in somebody else's faith, you might think you're doing something good, but you might actually be taking the step away from them that's going to lead them to something closer to the truth."

I listened to Candaces "Mormon Mafia" Episode so you don't have to. TLDR: Billionaire recluse Howard Hughes was surrounded by an inner circle "Mormon Mafia" in the last years of his life before he died suspiciously in 1975 (like Michael Jackson, who was probably killed by the Jewish Mafia) onboard a plane owned by the man who founded the company that owned the Egyptian plane that took off just before Charlie's assassination. Hughes' primary Mormon handler was the father of a man who managed Mitt Romney's Bane Capital. After a legal battle in which the Church of Latter-day Saints submitted a suspicious handwritten will for Howard Hughes, which was ultimately rejected, his Mormon handler became chairman of his organization. One of the hotels that Hughes owned ended up in the hands of Blake Wyn, who is friends with Erica Kirk. Also one of the "maroon shirt boys" is related to Howard Hughes. Anyway, Charlie's inner circle was also comprised of Mormons - even though TPUSA is supposed to be Christian evangelical - who were in charge of TPUSA money. Charlie conveniently died right before changing TPUSA's stance on Israel, doing a financial audit of the money controlled by the Mormon, and changing his will. Therefore, according to Candace, "All of this just feels a little bit reminiscent [pronounced remnishant] to me, right? A man living his life one way um relying on his lieutenants, not knowing what was really going on around him, and then suddenly he picks up his head and starts asking questions... Daily Wire's Matt Fradd finally just spoke out on the Mormon controversy: "I think they were wrong [to post my Joseph Smith article]. They also agree with me they were wrong to do that. It's one thing if I'm on my show ranting and raving about other religions, I disagree with... But it's another thing when they release an article [of it], it looks like they're giving the stamp of approval. This is a company, like a lot of companies, where things go through the cracks. So whoever's in charge of their blog portion or article portion on Daily Wire, they're like yeah, just send us articles you want us to post. I'm like well, here, I wrote a monologue against Joseph Smith, and they're yeah, sure, we'll post that. Daily Wire is a conservative company. They love Mormons. Mormons are part of that big conservative tent. That's just not my mission. My thing is I want you to be in the Catholic church." Of his own anti-Mormon videos he said: "But here's the thing. It all happened in one day. So I sit down with Joe Heschmeyer. We go after the Mormons. Cool. Then I sit down with Joe Heschmeyer again. We review videos from Mormons and respond to them. Cool. Look, I don't like polygamy any more than the rest of you. But we need to stop pretending that the Bible teaches against it. The typical talking point (e.g., Ben Shapiro) is that "polygamy doesn't turn out well in the Bible." Interpretative oversimplifications aside, if God wanted to ban polygamy, couldn't he have just said, "Thou shalt not practice polygamy"? The fact that this is the main talking point shows how weak an argument from the Bible is on this topic.

I swear I did not edit this clip. It's WILD once you understand what's going on. Joe: "[According to Mormons, Catholics believe] everyone who's ever created by God did not consent to be created so therefore God is morally responsible for the evils in the world. Whereas in Mormonism God is not responsible [because he didn't create us out of nothing] and he's just kind of powerless to-" Matt: "We've got to give their God a different name... like Jeff or something" Why it's wild: So Joe has just hit on the best part of Mormon theology. If God created us from nothing then HE is responsible for what happens to us. Joe mentions we didn't consent to be put in this world. What he leaves out is that in his theology God knew what would happen to us when he created us, there is nothing outside of his control. So the inescapable conclusion is God chooses if you go to hell. Sure you might have free agency, but God gave you all of your internal desires and external influences, he controls every factor. God decides to create people without their consent knowing that they will end up in hell. That's a massive problem. So how does Matt respond to this? He doesn't even recognize the problem and instead starts musing about the different name he should call the "Mormon god". If Matt had a Latter-day Saint on this conversation could have been way more interesting for both sides.

When Pints with Aquinas joined Daily Wire it was very important to him that he would not have to cater to their Mormon audience. I think we can expect our first DW anti-Mormon content pretty soon. (Though I'm sure it will be much kinder anti-Mormon content than much of the stuff out there. I don't have as high hopes that it will be well-researched.)
