Daniel Berger’s move is super unique. Really strong left hand grip, and a backswing that he’s been retooling recently. Mainly by making it shorter, to get him out of “excessive” back extension, which was causing him pain. A drill he does that helps: “As I’m taking the club away, I lift my left foot off the ground, then I press it back into the ground...that basically helps me get rid of the last few frames of my backswing. You can call it an overswing, and that gets rid of the excessive back extension that’s really the area that we saw was most prone to injury.”

Charles Howell III 🔄 Little flair at setup with both feet, helps free up a little range of motion to help his turn. 🏌I always notice how stable the middle of CH3’s body stays during his swing, especially his head movement. Body never seems to slide or tilt too far away from the ball.

I remember stumbling on Chez Reavie on his 17th hole at Kiawah, when he was 5 over and about to miss the cut. He missed his ball almost 35 yards left of the green. Super short sided, in the waste area. Lie awful (in a footprint?). Bunker short, water long. Wind hard left-to-right. Hit it to 7 feet and made the putt. Gained a 0.47 shots on paper. Still think about it.
