There can be only one person who can top Cybill Shepard in her performance as Martha Stewart in MARTHA INC., reenacting this particular life moment - and that person is Cate Blanchett.

Tonight’s ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and ESCAPE FROM LA Q&A was at its best when it was just two pals John Carpenter & Kurt Russell talking to each other about when they 1st met, Snake Plissken, Russell being jock & what they mean to each other.

This madman spliced himself into a scene from INCEPTION where he tries to sell cheesecake to Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s the new Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal.

As we all grieve the immense loss of actor James Earl Jones (Star Wars, The Lion King), I wanted to celebrate one his funnier milestones, reading Letterman’s best Top Ten List, reciting commercial jingles with his spectacular, powerful, booming voice. #RIPJamesEarlJones

Darren Aronofsky’s MOTHER! turns 7 years old today! An ingenious work of art. Jennifer Lawrence turned in a top notch performance (barefoot!). Incomparable sound & production design. Michelle Pfeiffer swoops in as a hellion houseguest. The un-braced sink scene is unforgettable.

Saddened to hear of filmmaker Jeff Baena’s passing. He’s gone far too soon. LIFE AFTER BETH and THE LITTLE HOURS are under-heralded comedy gems. He and wife/ frequent collaborator Aubrey Plaza were cute together, sharing an offbeat sense of humor & wit. #RIPJeffBaena
