Yesterday, within the walls of Al-Awda Hospital, a woman arrived who had tragically lost her life after a shell targeted her home. To our shock, we discovered she was nine months pregnant. Overwhelmed with both sorrow and hope, we decided, with simple means and basic equipment, to perform a cesarean section to save the baby. Miraculously, we managed to bring the child into the world, healthy and strong. But our joy was incomplete; his mother had died before he could know her, before he could feel her love and warmth.
