Our new mine acquisition has officially started we been on-site for 4 weeks now ever since we started four weeks back, and we are thrilled with the progress! The mine strictly produces seam one, 25-29 CV, delivering high-grade RB1 and RB2 coal. With a lifespan of 19 years and full export commitments already in place, this is shaping up to be one of our most exciting projects yet. 15 YEARS OF MAB GROUP – A DREAM THAT DEFIED THE ODDS On 12 April 2025, MAB Group (Matsapa-A-Botshelo) turned 15 years old — a milestone that began with nothing but a vision, courage, and varsity allowance. Fifteen years ago, a young man still in university took a leap of faith. Instead of spending his school allowance on comforts, he went and registered a company, driven by a deep hunger to create something bigger than himself. That small act of bravery planted the seed of what would become a global brand. From setbacks to comebacks, debt to billion rand success , retrenched staff to hundreds employed, and from pain to purpose — MAB Group has faced it all. What started as a student’s dream has now become a symbol of resilience, vision, and purpose.
