Astounded by the supreme sacrifice of these heroic people whose husbands/ sons/ brothers have laid down their lives in the service of the nation. Who can forget their courage and valour and when we have just celebrated Independence Day, we must remember that we have to right to think independent thoughts and live independent lives because they continue to sacrifice so that we may live free. Just came to know that the roof of the 800 year old Mahadeshwara temple in Thiruchitrambalam village of Tenkasi district has completely collapsed. The locals have complained that despite submitting repeated requests to the govt authorities managing the temple, no steps were taken for its preservation and maintenance. This centuries old temple believed to have been constructed by Kulasekara Pandyan requires immediate attention, which the anti-sanatan DMK government seems to be refusing.
